Late C18. 2 storeys and attic painted brick. Gable end old tile roof with
dormer casements. Formerly had good decorated band cornice, replaced by
plain eaves. 6 flush architrave framed windows to 1st floor, sashes, no glazing
bars. On ground floor 2 Victorian shop fronts, one double to left and 6 panel
door off centre, rectangular fanlight with circular and diamond, glazing
pattern. Flanking, slender, engaged Doric columns, moulded bracketed dentil
cornice to bowed hood.
Nos 56 to 78 (even) form a group with Nos 2 to 14 (even) Guilder Lane.
