Also including No 6 Cliff Bridge Place. No 26 is an altered 2 storey early C19
stucco faced house, now the "New Road Inn" with 3 late gabled small canted bay
windows to 1st floor and 2 lunette windows ground floor with central entrance.
Nos 28 to 30 (even) form a 5 storey red brick block. Early C19 with gutter cornice
to low hipped slate roof. Symmetrical fenestration to upper floors: 5 windows,
one blind on 3rd and 4th floors where they are square. 2nd floor has central
window, the outer bays taken up by large tripartite bow windows with plain aprons,
frieze and cornice. 5 windows, one blind to 1st floor. All recessed sashes,
glazing bars intact, with flat gauged brick arches. Ground floor has 3 altered
shop windows framed by wide painted stone Doric pilasters with entablature over.
No 6 Cliff Bridge Place is the south return front. This has only 3 storeys due
raised road way. Painted brick. One window to upper floor above door which
is of 4 moulded panels with 3 pane fanlight, plain strip doorcase with cornice
