Garden Wall in Front of Black Charles

A Grade II Listed Building in Seal, Kent

Wall at Black Charles

Taken 12/4/15. At the bottom of the picture you can just make out a square gullet in the wall. Water was flowing out, in to a drain under the bridleway, and seemed to make it's way in a culver down the High Street. Presumably feeding the brook that runs to the East of Green Lane Cottage and further south along side Brook Cottage, these are also listed. Were they all built where they are due to the presence of running water?
