Gatepiers between Nos 5/5A and 6/6A Old St Andrew's Mansions

GV
II

Pair of gatepiers. 1936 by E G Trobridge. Brick. Each one is lozenge- shaped with stepped tops, angled to the alleyway of St Andrew's Mansions. The gatepiers are reminiscent of the chimneytops of Nos.1/1a-7/7a St Andrew's Mansions and contribute to the quality of the group, which is Trobridge's best surviving group of flats.
