Water grist mill. Circa mid to late C19. Rendered brick. Slate hipped roof with deep eaves.
PLAN: small rectangular plan water mill with overshot wheel within the mill on the north side.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys. Symmetrical 2-storey east front facing road with central door and loft door above with hoist in gable over. Ground at rear [W] at lower level with doorway to right of centre and 2-light casement above with glazing bars. Later lean-tos on west and north sides with corrugated sheet steel roofs. INTERIOR: the C19 mill machinery is intact, made by Woods and Co, Stowmarket. Wheel-pit is within the mill, with an iron overshot wheel on a wooden axle. Iron bevel gearing on wooden axles. Single set of stones on stone floor and sack-hoist in loft above. Braced collar roof trusses.
