House, now public house. c1809, altered late C19. Stuccoed.
C20 artificial slate roof, 2 tall stacks on right.
3 storeys and attic, 1 wide bay. On right across splayed
corner, 3 panelled door, upper panel glazed, fixed casement
window on left with moulded panel below, flanked by paired
pilasters each with rosette at head, frieze and cornice
(ornate breaker flanking at left of frieze). Front returns on
right to Hambrook Street. First floor has rectangular oriel
window with supporting brackets, tripartite sash to front with
4-pane centre sash and narrow flanking and side sashes,
pilasters dividing lights, frieze and bracketed cornice.
Second floor has 6-pane sash set within second floor pointed
horizontal and vertical timber framing. Small 4-pane casement
pitched roof dormer. On right return to Hambrook Street, pub
front returns with windows, sealed doorways and flanking
paired pilasters. Painted timber framing returns at second
floor level, then to right 2-storey extension.
