Ladies and Gentlemen's public conveniences sited on a traffic
island. Late C19. Rectangular site. Enriched railings on stone
coped sleeper wall and iron gates with overthrows and
lanterns. The railings form a civic group with the Francis
Whiting Memorial Fountain (qv), in front of them. Lavatories
with yellow tiles, mahogany doors, decorative grills and
original fittings.
