Boundary wall and attached gate piers. Probably mid C19
incorporating a pair of earlier gate piers. Coursed limestone
walling with ashlar sandstone piers. Links garages at Holme
Grange (qv) to gateway into yard on west side of Holme Hall
(qv).
Wall approximately 1.8m in height and 40m in length. Carriage
entrance at south end: square-sectioned ashlar piers with
slight cornices and upswept pedestals to ball finials; short
quadrant walls link to lower outer piers in same style. Wall
has flat copings and curves gently to link to earlier gate
piers with lozenges and ovals in sunken panels; cornices with
ball finials. Short section of wall continues west.
