House. Mid C18, C19 roof. Limestone rubble with ashlar
dressings, brick gable stacks and slate roof. Single-depth
central entry plan with rear wing.
2 storeys, cellar and attic; 5-window range. A symmetrical
front has a plinth with moulded band, plain plat band, eaves
cornice and quoins. Doorway with steep pediment linked to plat
band, 3-pane overlight and panelled door; architraves to C19
6/6-pane sashes, and two C19 gabled dormers with 2/2-pane
sashes. Right-hand stack set forward of the ridge. Former
stable range to rear has 3-light casement window with leaded
lights.
INTERIOR: details include a central through-passage, to a
rear, right-hand C19 dogleg stair with stick balusters ramped
rail; 4-bay C19 collar truss roof with tenon purlins
half-glazed doors with stained glass, and front room with
bolection-moulded fire surround.
