Stables, now workshops, gateway and boundary walls. c1890,
with late C20 alterations. Red brick, with blue brick plinth
and hipped slate roof, topped with segment-headed wooden
ventilators. Stone sills, cogged eaves. Single storey; 27
window range. Original openings have segmental heads. In the
centre, two 15-pane casements flanked by single cart openings,
enlarged C20. To left, eight 10-pane casements, then a board
door and a similar window. To right, ten 10-pane windows. Rear
has panelled plinth and coped parapet. 27 windows.
INTERIOR has king post roofs.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: adjoining curved boundary wall has panels
with cogged heads and triangular moulded brick and ashlar
coping. 2 square brick gate piers with guard irons, and a
similar end pier.
An ancillary building to Nunnery Goods Station (not included).
