Sheffield Centre Spiritualist Church
GV II
House, now spiritualist church. c1840, with early C20
alterations. Brick with ashlar dressings and slate roofs with
2 ridge and single gable stacks. L-plan.
Plinth, first floor band, modillion wooden eaves and pediment.
Windows have brick flat arches. 2 storeys; 2 x 3 windows. East
front has pedimented facing gable to left, with two 12 pane
sashes. Below, to right, moulded round-headed doorcase with
imposts and recessed half-glazed door with leaded panels and
fanlight. To left, a plain sash with leaded glazing. Left
return has a central blocked window flanked by a 12 pane sash
to right and a plain sash to left. Below, to left, a canted
wooden bay window with cornice, and to right, a plain sash.
Both these windows have leaded glazing. Set back right wing
has a 12 pane sash and below, a half-glazed double door with
overlight.
