2 houses, now house and bookshop. c1830, reroofed and the
right gable rebuilt c1985. Brick with stone dressings and
slate roof. Moulded and dentilled wooden eaves and pedimented
right gable. 3 storeys; 4 window range arranged 3:1. Windows
have brick flat arches. Four 12-pane sashes, and above, four
9-pane sashes. Central wooden doorcase with rounded engaged
columns and pediment, with beaded 6-panel door. On either
side, a 12-pane sash. To right, a C20 pilastered wooden
doorcase with pediment and half-glazed door. Right return has
2 blanks on the upper floors and a full-width C20 wooden
shopfront with central door flanked by single pane windows.
