Union Hotel and adjoining boundary
wall

Public house and adjoining boundary wall. c1842, with early
C20 alterations. Coursed squared stone with ashlar dressings
and slate roof with coped stone ridge stack.
Plinth, first floor band, pedimented coped gables. 2 storeys;
3 window range of 12-pane sashes, the outer ones with louvred
shutters. Central panelled door with overlight, flanked by
single sashes with leaded glazing and shutters. Pedimented
left gable has pebbledash tympanum, with the name "Union
Hotel" in raised gilt lettering. On each floor, a tripartite
sash, the upper one with glazing bars, the lower with leaded
glazing. Both have louvred shutters.
INTERIOR not inspected.
Adjoining stone boundary wall has chamfered ashlar coping and
rounded corner, and is topped with wooden latticework. Central
pair of stone gate piers.
