Right lodge at entrance to Nether
Edge Hospital

GV II

Lodge. 1842-43, with late C20 alterations. By William
Flockton. Coursed squared stone with ashlar dressings and
steep pitched slate roofs. Tudor Revival style.
Plinth, shouldered coped gables with kneelers. 2 storeys;
single window range. Cross plan. Drive side has a single small
window with label mould, and below, a moulded Tudor arched
doorway also with label mould, altered to a wood mullioned
window. Street front has a similar small window above, and
below, a moulded 4-panel door with overlight and plain ashlar
surround. INTERIOR not inspected.
An ancillary building to the former Ecclesall Union Workhouse
(qv).
