SJ4912SW DOGPOLE
653-1/15/271 (West side)
10/01/53 Nos.14 AND 15

GV II

Pair of houses, one now in use as offices. Stucco over brick
probably incorporating elements of an earlier timber-framed
building. Welsh slate roof. 3 storeys, 3-window range with
open pedimented gable to the left. Doorways in projecting
part-timber-framed wing to left, and in late C20 flat-roofed
projecting porch to right. 2 lower windows are 2-pane sashes,
the upper windows 16-pane sashes with a narrow 12-pane sash
window in right-hand bay. Second-storey windows are 16- and
8-pane sashes, and all have flat-arched stuccoed heads. Plain
eaves, axial stack. Rear elevation to St Alkmund's Square,
brick to left, rendered to right. 16-pane sash windows and
rear wall stack which seems to be part of an earlier
structure.
