Barn, stables and pigsty
at Rectory Farmhouse

GV II

Barn, stables and pigsty. Mid c18 and mid C19. Brick with pantile roofs
and plain tile verges. Moulded brick eaves. Single storey. 10 bays long.
L-plan. Barn, 7 bays, has to east, door and casement. To its right, altered
barn door with segmental head. To right again, 2 superimposed casements,
and beyond, garage door. North gable has a casement and above, loading door.
Queen post roof with struts and braces, incorporating re-used cruck. Stables
to south have 3 doors and 2 casements with segmental heads. To east, 3 round
headed altered openings containing door flanked by single casements. Pigsty
to west has 2 doors and feeding hatches, and to west, cart opening. Included
for group value only.
