Farmhouse. Late C17. Brick, partly rendered, with steep pitched slate roof.
First and second floor bands, dentillated wooden eaves, coped gables. 3 ridge
and single gable stacks. 2 storeys plus garrets, 5 bays. L-plan. Window
are mainly glazing bar sashes and C20 casements. Those to front ground floor
have splayed keystoned heads. South front has projecting gabled wing to left,
with a sash. Central section has 3 sashes, that to right larger. To their
right, door with overlight. Above, to left, 2 sashes. To right, C20 casement.
Above again, 3 dormers, the central one with half round and the flanking pair
with gabled pediments. East gable has C20 casement. Rear has 2 two storey
additions and regular fenestration with casements. West end has to left,
door and casement. To right, door flanked by single casements. Above, 2
casements. Outside, brick boundary wall with chamfered ashlar coping, approxi-
mately 60 metres long. A 2 storey gabled cross wing at the east end was
demolished c1965.
