Middle cottage in row, formerly two or even three. Late C17 modified. Local lias stone roughly cut and squared, three
sections in varying masonry styles: thatched roof with abutments; brick chimney stacks with traditional baffles. Two
storeys, 5 bays of irregular fenestration. Rectangular leaded pane casement windows with timber lintols of verying
dates, all 2-light above, and below of 3:1:3:2:2 lights respectively, with added 2-light window between lower bays 4
and 5; left of bay 1 a plain boarded door in heavy frame under timber lintol; former doorways also in bay 1 and between
bays 4 and 5. Inserted into lean-to at rear a re-used ovolo-mould timber framed window. Interior not seen. Adjoins Ivy
Cottage (qv) on north side; on south side a late C20 cottage not of special interest.
