Built as school 1861. Faced with coursed Chilmark stone rubble, with dressed
stone quoins. Band between 2 storeys. Main block set back 2 storey lower
gabled bays, projecting each side, with ornamental bargeboards and pendant
finials. Lower wings to east and west also with bargeboards to gable ends.
Gabled bays and wings have 2 light casements in flush frames with hood moulds
over. The main block has large transomed 4 light casements to both floors.
The ground floor one with shallow hood mould, relieving arch over with date
plaque and inscription. Lean-to porch in east wing. Door of 4 flush panels
with drip mould over. Gable end slate roofs, wide eaves.
