2 cottages. Late C17. Plastered cob on rubble footings, rubble stacks topped with
C19 and C20 brick, No. 1 has slate roof and No. 2 retains original thatch. Pair of
adjoining cottages facing south-west. No. 1 on left (north-west) end is a 2 room
plan cottage with rear corner stack to larger left hand room. No. 2 to right
(south-east) is a 1 room and entrance lobby plan house with rear corner stack. Both
are 2 storeys. Overall 4-window front. No. 1 has symmetrical 2-window front of
late C19 casements with glazing bars and central late C19 4-panel door. No. 2 has
2-window front of late C19-early C20 large pane casements with glazing bars and a
plank: door. Gable-ended roof. Both cottages have plain chamfered beams, an axial
beam to heated room in No. 1 and a crossbeam in No. 2 and both diagonal corner
fireplaces are blocked. Roof not inspected.
