Small house. C16, improved in C17, modernised and enlarged circa 1980. Plastered
cob on exposed rubble; rubble stack topped with C20 brick; thatched roof.
Originally 1 room and entrance lobby plan house facing south-east. Large axial
stack backing onto entrance lobby. Circa 1980 flat-roofed extension to left (south-
west). 2 storeys. 1-window front of C20 casements with glazing bars towards left
end and flanked by C20 battered rubble buttresses. Large semi-circular oven
projection with thatched roof right of centre and circa 1980 door at right end.
Gable-ended roof.
Interior: large stone fireplace with plain chamfered oak lintel is probably C17.
C17 axial beam is chamfered with scroll stops. Probably C16 roof on side-pegged
jointed cruck truss over hall but roofspace inaccessible. A c16 oak round-headed
doorframe from main house to circa 1980 extension may be reset.
