Farmhouse. Mid C16 with late C17 addition, and with C19 and C20 alterations.
Formerly timber framed. Front elevation buff brick in stretcher bond.
Plain tile roof. C16 house of two timber-framed bays, both storeyed, and
right gable end smoke bay. Later C17 bay added to right. C20 cross-wing
added to left. 2 storeys. Left gable end of C16 section formerly jettied.
Roof hipped to right. C20 wing projects forwards, with half-hipped roof.
Brick stack in front slope of roof, to right of centre. Irregular
fenestration of four 3-light casements; one to C20 wing and three to main
range. French doors to left of stack, and boarded door to right.
Interior: only partly inspected. Exposed beams. Late C17 stone fireplace.
Plain crown-post roof to C16 section, clasped purlins to C17 end. A
relatively uncommon plan form for this area.
