3/47 Apple Orchard Farmhouse
and adjoining stable.

Farmhouse, early/mid C18, partly rebuilt in mid/late C19; early/mid C19
stable. Dressed sandstone. Clay pantile roofs with stone ridge and gable
copings, block kneelers and stone end stacks. 2 storeys, 2 windows.
Entered from south return and rear. Late C19 side-hung casements with
glazing bars, in keeping, in original keyed openings. Steel restraining
bands all around house above ground-floor and first-floor windows. Stable
and lean-to outhouse adjoin left end. Mid/late C20 glazed timber porch,
adjoining south end, is not of interest.
