Stables and coach house, now including garage. C16, refenestrated C17, re-roofed, mainly
refenestrated and enlarged late C19. Random rubble local stone, slate roofs hipped
north gable end, south independently roofed, steeply pitched mansard block, small brick
stack rising from eaves north-east corner. Plan: lying parallel with east front of
Whitestaunton Manor (g.v.), stables range with detached block linked by churchyard
wall. Two storeys, 2:5:2 bays, first floor all late Cl9 2-light many paned casements,
ground floor all window openings under hoodmoulds, left single light, 3-light stone
mullioned window left of C16 doorway, depressed Tudor arch head, 4-light stone mullioned
window and depressed ogee-head doorway, two C19 double doorways with cambered heads,
3-light stone mullioned window end bay right. Rear elevation from onto churchyard,
Church of St Andrew (q.v.), unlit but with blocked C17 moulded arch head opening with
keystone centre of main block, wall of northern 2 bays set back slightly with lean-to
addition by stack. Interior not seen.
