Farmhouse, now house. C17, re-fronted C18. Coursed squared limestone with ashlar
dressings; Stonesfield-slate and artificial stone-slate roofs. 2-unit
lobby-entry plan extended to L-plan. 3 storeys. Symmetrical 3-window front has,
in the outer bays, 16-pane sashes at ground floor, 12-pane sashes at first floor
and casements at second floor; the windows above the central doorway, with
6-panel door, overlight and stone canopy, are both narrow. All openings have
ashlar flat arches with projecting keyblocks. Roof has a massive central
stone-based stack. Both gable walls have aligned stone-mullioned windows of 3, 3
and 2 lights with labels. Rear wing returns from right at a similar height, and
the angle has been infilled with a lower range. Interior not inspected.
