Circular pond with central fountain and statue. Probably late C18.
Sandstone ashlar and bronze. Pond approx 5 metres in diameter, with low
raised surround of stone, the outer rim moulded. Fountain in the centre
composed of tall hexagonal pedestal surmounted by a bronze statue of an
oriental female figure seated cross-legged on a low hexagonal stool which is
entirely surrounded by large shallow scallop dishes; the figure carries a
similar dish on her lap and holds over it a spout in the form of a mollusc
shell.
