Gatepiers 20 metres west
of Church of St Mary

Gatepiers. c1772. Limestone ashlar and coade stone. A pair of tall, square
rusticated gatepiers, with moulded bases and tops supporting a pair of coade
stone draped urns, with gadrooned tops surmounted by tall flowers. Between
a pair of plain late C19 iron gates. These gatepiers were presumably erected
for General Manners of Bloxholm Hall.
