5/61 Horsepride Well

GV II

Cottage pair, now one house, mid C18, ironstone rubble with
thatched roof and ridge stacks, originally on end walls but since
extended slightly each end. Two storeys, leaded casement windows
with iron opening lights. Cottage to right is double-fronted, 2
casement pairs under eyebrow above, pair and triple casement below,
flanking door. Extension to right probably C20. Cottage to left
has upper casement pair under eyebrow, ground floor triple casement
and door to right. Low west end addition in red brick with thatch
carried down over Rear has some original casements. Marked on
J. Powell estate map of 1763.
