Bowood estate cottage, squared ironstone rubble and thatched roof,
with west end stack. Single storey and attic, L-plan, picturesque
cottage style. Main range gable-ended to road with half-hipped
east gable, 2-light window to each floor and pale stone flush
course at first floor level. Gabled wing to right with door
adjoining main range and door in north end. South side has 2
leaded 2-light windows and single storey Bridgwater tiled addition
to west. The thatched cottages of Sandy Lane are an outstanding
example of an estate village in the picturesque style.
