Gateway and boundary wall at
Memorial Nurses' Home

GV II

Gateway and boundary wall at nurses' home (qv). 1921-23. By
Evans, Cartwright & Woollett of Nottingham. Boundary wall, red
brick with moulded brick coping and square brick piers with
ashlar cornice caps. The wall borders King Charles Street,
forming a shallow recess. Approx 50m long. Gateway, at the
north end, has wrought-iron double gates and side gate, with
openwork cast-iron piers. On the south side, 3 panels of
matching railing with brick piers.
