Pair of shops. c1800, in 2 phases. Brick with plain tiled
roofs behind parapet. 4 storeys, each a 3-window range.
Recessed ground floor with fascia carried on cast-iron columns
to No.49, then 4-pane sash windows with flat-arched heads on
each floor above. Moulded stone eaves cornice, gable end
stacks. Nos.50 & 50A have early C19 bow shop window with small
panes to left and separate doorway alongside. Upper windows
are 2-pane sashes to first floor, 12-panes to second, all with
flat-arched gauged brick heads. Plain parapet eaves, gable end
stacks.
