Gate piers at west entrance to the
Forest recreation ground

Pair of gate piers. Mid C19. Rockfaced Bulwell stone with
ashlar dressings. Square piers with chamfered corners,
rock-faced bases and foliage cornices. Pyramidal caps with
cross gables.
This is one of several sets of gate piers of similar design
erected by Nottingham Corporation at entrances to the Forest
and Waterloo Promenade.
