Pair of houses, now offices. 1845-55, converted C20. By RW
Moore, architect and builder. Red brick, stone details, slate
roof. 2 storeys, 5 first-floor windows to a single-fronted and
a double-fronted property. Entrance bays 2 and 4 have
top-glazed 6-panel doors with overlights in pilastered
surrounds with entablature, cornice and blocking piece.
Fenestration: No.8 has margin-pane glazing bars, No.9 has
4-pane sashes, all in architraves, with recessed panels below
ground-floor windows, moulded sill and eaves bands. Moulded
eaves cornice and blocking course. Stacks forward of ridge
flank No.9. Wide modern dormers.
