GV II

House, now office. 1834-39, converted C20. Red brick, stone
dressings, slate roof. 2 storeys with basement and added attic
storey, 5 first-floor windows. Symmetrical facade with stone
steps to central panelled door in stone porch with fluted
Corinthian/Egyptian columns supporting entablature, dentilled
cornice and pediment. Fenestration: flat brick arches, stone
sills, sashes with glazing bars. C20 dormers. Stone bands at
ground and first-floor levels, stone eaves cornice and
blocking course, end stacks.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: bases of stone gate piers survive; walls
flanking gate piers and on northern side of forecourt: brick
with stone roll-moulded coping, approx 1m high.
