GV II

Boundary wall with gate piers. c1860, restored late C20.
Coursed squared gritstone and ashlar. Wall approx 90m long,
enclosing W and S sides of gardens, and 1.5m high, ramped down
gradual slope, chamfered coping. Gateway near S end of W wall:
monolithic chamfered square piers, approx 2m high with plinth,
roll moulding and ogee-domed overhanging capstone; raised
flower motifs and the name, 'SYCAMORE LODGE'.
