The Lodge
II
Lodge. c1867. For TS Kennedy. Coursed gritstone rubble, slate
roof with ornamental bands of fishscale slates. 2 storeys, 2 x
3 bays. Gothic Revival style.
Corner entrance tower left, now with flat roof; board door
with overlight in shallow pointed arch. Wide gable with bay
window to ground floor, segmental-arched window to 1st floor,
plate-glass sashes; cusped piercings to barge-boards, cresting
to ridge, end wrought-iron finials with pennants pierced with
the letter K; tall moulded ridge stack. Left return: central
narrow and lower gable, 3-light mullion window.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Built as a lodge to Meanwood Towers, Towers Way (qv).
