II

Large house, now club premises. Early C19 with later C19
additions, restored late C20. Ashlar, hipped slate roof.
3 storeys, 5-window central block with later projecting
2-storey hipped-roof bays each side. Central doorway with
three-quarter Doric columns supporting entablature,
round-arched entrance. Glazing bar windows. Former sashes
without glazing bars, apron panel to ground-floor windows,
continuous sill bands, plain lintels. Heavy cornice and
blocking course, end stacks. Outer bays have mullioned
windows, 4-light with transom to ground floor, 3-light above;
eaves cornice and blocking course.
INTERIOR: ground floor left a large room with Corinthian
columns in antis; staircase with wooden balustrade to ground
floor, cast-iron panels and moulded handrail to 1st floor. In
course of restoration at time of survey.
Now premises of Serbian National Centre Social Club.
