The Georgian well in the back yard of 34 Market Hill, Maldon was emptied & cleaned out in Nov. 2011. Photo 5 of 6: Base of well & perforated lead outlet pipe plugged & held off base of well by impaling on a stake. Packed chalk fill at base of well on London Clay substrate. Non-cemented Georgian curved brick well lining sat on wooden circular beam.
