GV II

Wall, railings, gates and gate piers bounding churchyard of
York Baptist Church (qv) to north-east. 1862. Wall and gate
piers of stone with ashlar coping; railings and gates of
cast-iron. Wall with weathering and sloped coping surmounted
by railings of cusped intersecting traceried panels; twisted
standards with alternately trifurcated and crocketed finials.
Gates of similar ironwork. Gate piers are square section to
lower half, upper half chamfered making them octagonal, with
moulded necking and gableted octagonal caps.
Included for group value as an integral part of York Baptist
Church (qv).
