Includes: No.3 (Flats 1 & 2) COACH LANE.
Shops and flats. Early C19 front to earlier building.
Timber-framed and rendered front range with plain tile gambrel
roof partly concealed behind parapet and upper storey. Rear
range (No.3 Coach Lane) with gabled plain tile roof with upper
floor of render over 2 storeys of painted weatherboarding.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys with cellars (now filled); 3-window range.
Front facing Church of All Saints (qv) has, on the upper 2
storeys 2 slightly projecting bows with tripartite sash
windows with central vertical glazing bars. In the centre,
each storey has a sash window with margin glazing and arched
vertical bars. The three 1st-floor windows also have stucco
hoods on consoles. The ground floor shop front has fascia with
cornice over most of the frontage supported on panelled
pilasters. Under the bowed sections, the shop front breaks
forward as canted bays with 4-light windows in front faces.
The northern flank of the range is of painted brick and there
are stacks at each end of ridge.
The rear block (No.3 Coach Lane) is of 3 storeys with a
small-paned tripartite sash window on 1st and 2nd floors, the
upper with C20 metal window inserts. Ground floor has single
door, and door and window under timber gable.
