Seeley House Farmhouse

II

House, formerly farmhouse. Early C19. Brownish-red
Flemish-bond brick with gabled plain tile roof. L-plan form,
filled in to make square by C20 flat-roofed 2-storey extension
on south corner.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys with cellar; 3-window range. Front has
wide eaves overhang and a 20-pane sash window, either side of
a blind recess on 1st floor. Near-central entrance with
semicircular-arched head with render panel and reeded
architrave. Either side are similar sash windows.
The flanks are pebbledashed and there are 2 rendered stacks on
front range and 2 behind. Single-storey extension with plain
tile gabled roof on east corner.
INTERIOR: simple straight-flight staircase with old boarded
door and cupboards to cellar behind. Floor in east wing is
exposed with big chamfered bridging joists. Reused timber in
cellar including front bressumer of jettied house.
