Monument to William Tyler in Abney Park Cemetery

Monument to William Tyler (1877-1909). White marble and pink granite. A cross-surmounted canopy with a segmental cover carried on four square colonnettes, upon a square base of pink granite. Within the canopy is a sculpture of a policeman's helmet, cape and truncheon placed upon a miniature sarcophagus. It is inscribed to 'PC 403 of the North Division'. Tyler was a policeman murdered in the 'Tottenham Outrage', while making an arrest of an anarchist.
