House, now shop. Mid C18, with alteration and extension c1840;
C20 shopfront. Front part of stuccoed brick with timber eaves
cornice; double span slate roof with brick stack. Rear wing of
orange-grey brick in English garden wall bond, with hipped
slate roof.
EXTERIOR: 3-storey, 2-window front. Plate glass shop window
with glass shop door to right. Windows on first and second
floors are 12-pane sashes with slender glazing bars, in
architraves with painted stone sills. Heavy modillion cornice
returned at left end. Rear: 1-storey wing with one original
12-pane sash beneath segmental brick arch in rear wall.
INTERIOR: not inspected, but RCHM record closed string
staircase with turned balusters, swept handrail and square
newels with attached half balusters.
