Third quarter of C19 by George Devey. Tudor style, irregular form. High pitched tiled roof with tall red brick chimneys. Decorative half timbered walls with roughcast filling. Red brick plinth rising to ground floor cills. Narrow end to road of one storey and attic, one window under wide, overhanging gable with carved beams. Similar and tallergable, with double overhang, on right return. Carved bargeboards, visible beam ends to overhangs. Four- and five-light wood mullioned windows, some in square bays. On left return two first floor oriel bays and recessed entrance.

South View, Nos 1 to 7 (consec) Forge Square, The Forge and Forge House form a group.
