Mid-late C19. Small, L-shaped, two storey two bay cottage. Projecting gable left wing. Tiled roof, brick chimneys. Left gable end and first floor, half-timbered with plaster filling, overhanging on curved brackets. Moulded bargeboard, carved beam over upper window. Rest of first floor tile hung but for slightly projecting oriel, with gabled peak in inner right return, half timbered. Brick ground floor. Stone quoins and window dressings. Plank door under hipped tiled porch in angle. Ground floor left window a canted bay; right window narrow and segment headed.
South View, Nos 1 to 7 (consec) Forge Square, The Forge and Forge House form a group.
