ST 9958 POTTERNE EASTWELL ROAD

14/138 Coach house at
Eastwell House

II

Coach-house, mid C18, red brick with Bridgwater tile roof and
hexagonal timber lantern with lead cap and iron finial. Two
storeys, U-plan. Dentilled brick eaves. Centre has pedimental
gable over keyed oval plaque and 2 segmental-headed coach-doors
with keystones. Left projecting wing has rusticated quoins,
hipped roof, end wall boarded door over ground floor cambered-head
timber cross window. Garage door on inner side. Outer side has
2-window range of blank panels infilled with black header bricks.
Right wing has rusticated quoins, steep pedimental gable with oval
plaque, first floor casement pair with brick hoodmould breaking
into pediment and ground floor cambered-head triple casement with
keystone. Six-panel door in later porch to right. Outer side
wall has 2 upper panels infilled with black header bricks, one
similar below, door and two cross-windows.
