Railings and gates. Mid C19 with some C20 alterations.
Cast-iron with low stone coping. The railings have pointed
bulb-shaped finials, the standards have urn finials, and the
gateposts have ball finials and are of circular plan above
octagonal bases. In front of the doorway to No.18 (qv) there
is a pedestrian gate. To its right (south-east) there is a
second similar gate, and to its left there are double gates.
At the far left the railings return for approximately 4.0
metres along St Peter's Grove and have been altered to
terminate against the steps of a C20 footbridge.
Included for group value as an integral part of No.18, St
Peter's School Annexe (qv).
