House. 1914, to the designs of Barry Parker from the Parker I and Unwin office. Brick in mixed bonds with tile insets randomly placed; tile dressings; half-hipped roof of tile with boxed eaves. Single storey with dormers. Broad, V-shaped plan, the centre range with entrance set in segmental-arched and recessed porch; plank door of an original design. Brick mullions to two-, three- and five-light windows with leaded light casements. Pair of axial ridge stacks with blind recesses to entrance block; single axial stack to left hand wing. Single-storey garage to right not of the original build. It is reputed to have been the house which Parker designed for himself but in which he never took up residence. Skillful adjustment of the design to the awkward corner site. Materials and finishes of high quality consistent with the best Parker and Unwin work in the Suburb.
