Cottage. C17, extended in C20. Timber framed clad in whitewashed stone rubble
with brick dressings on rendered plinth; whitewashed brick and tile hung gable
on left hand return front, plain tiled roofs. L-shaped plan, originally two
cottages? Two storeys with corbelled stack at junction of two ranges. Plat
band over ground floor and brick angle quoins. Two windows to each floor,
those below under cambered heads. One 4-light window in each floor of gable
to left. Glazed door to lobby entry at junction of two ranges under open
gabled porch. Brick and tile hung extensions to rear.
Interior:- cove on post roof, carpenters marks exposed,some wattle and daub
in roof. Diagonal bracing on old external wall now preserved internally. Good
bread oven preserved.
