5/73 The Old Chapel
GV II
Baptist Chapel, now house, 1817, squared ironstone with ashlar
dressings, slate roof and coped gables. Rectangular plan. Road
front has flush quoins, ashlar cross inset in gable, date plaque
below and 3-light mullion-and-transom window each side, the top-
lights round headed, with hoodmould over. Central door in bead-
moulded surround with high lintel ornamented with 4 blank arches.
Hoodmould over. Two similar mullion-and-transom windows to each
side wall. Interior altered in conversion.
